7/31/2017 0 Comments Design Collection Part-2Developing your designs for a new collection involves 3 main components. When starting a collection, new designers need to consider their color story, design functionality, technical package, and garment patterns. Here’s the breakdown of each step in the design development process:
The Color Story Generating a color story is very important. Your scheme could be monochromatic or complimentary, but no matter what story you choose, they must go well together. Design Illustration and Silhouette Customer satisfaction and functionality plays a big role in designing a garment. The designer and product developer have to take into consideration what their customer desires in a specific garment. It could be anything from adding a back pocket on a cycling jacket or a forearm pocket for a runner’s phone. By balancing function with design, you create a garment that fits brand desires with customer wants and needs. Technical Design and Tech Packs The world of design is never as easy and glamorous as it looks. From demographic and trend research, finding your brand’s voice, and narrowing down your collection, the entire process can get a bit overwhelming. But, one of the most important pieces of the development puzzle is the Technical Design. Though many people do not know about this process, developing the technical sketch and technical package is essential to move onto Production. Patterns and Grading This is the last step in the development process. Garment patterns are the key ingredient to fit and styling. More returns happen because of fit issues than any other reason, especially among online sales.

This is a mixture of both. Loved watercolors always. Hope, this inspires some of you. 7/25/2017 3 Comments Design Collection-VictorianDesign Collection
From theme to moodboard to color story to sketches then final Garment. Each step takes careful measures to do. It takes lot of tiny measurements to create one masterpiece out of a plain fabric. Most often people ask me what you do, or they have an illusion that fashion is easy but trust me its not at all easy. For creating just one piece , I have to focus on lots of different aspects from my theme to my target market to my color story and so on. Letting you know that in this piece some of the parts are hand sewn like the corset and the draping area in the back. This was step by step projection of the whole aura of one haute-couture piece. Women's PerspectiveSolitary Thoughts, By Navkiran Bhullar, June 6, 2017 I believe that every girl has its own imaginative world.
In my life, I have a safe and secure place to free myself from worldly boredom ,that is, My imaginative world. In this world I can be any thing from strongest to weakest creature. Exploring myself helps me to find the answers to various problems of my life. The above painting describes a mood when we get ready for something(could be anything) and still has a little binge as well as uncertainty of what's next. |
